What is SmoothGlo™?
The SmoothGlo treatment uses both intense pulsed light therapy (IPL) and radiofrequency (RF) microneedling to improve facial skin texture while also enhancing its visual appearance. After just four sessions, patients report seeing increased brightness and volume, more even skin tone, and a reduction in signs of photoaging, such as wrinkles and age spots.
How SmoothGlo™ Works
SmoothGlo combines two sequentially-delivered technologies to generate smoother, more evenly-toned skin. First, Stellar M22™, a multifunctional device, uses IPL therapy to treat the superficial layers of the skin by targeting melanin and hemoglobin—farewell, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, and age spots!
Next, Legend Pro™, a minimally-invasive, RF-based skin treatment tool, uses microneedling technology called VoluDerm™ to deliver heat into the deeper layers of skin. This stimulates the natural production of hyaluronic acid (HA), elastin, and collagen. The resulting skin is firmer and smoother with a more youthful, plump appearance.

SmoothGlo™ FAQs
Most individuals who decide to improve the appearance of their skin and its texture are good candidates for SmoothGlo. However, patients who have had recent significant sun exposure, are taking photosensitizing medications, have the Fitzpatrick skin type V or VI, are pregnant, or have certain implanted electronic devices should exercise caution. Your Lift Aesthetics provider will advise of any possible complications during your initial consultation.
A complete SmoothGlo treatment consists of four sessions, with each session occurring every four weeks.
Downtime with SmoothGlo is minimal, so you should be able to resume your normal daily activities quickly. You may see minor swelling and redness, which should subside within a few hours. Minor scabbing can also occur, but this will naturally resolve in about a week.
As with many other treatments, we advise avoiding strenuous exercise and sun exposure for the first 24 hours after a session.
While some effects of SmoothGlo may be visible immediately, completing the entire series of SmoothGlo treatments should ensure the best, longest-lasting results.
